Kakapo Run: Animal Rescue Game – In Kākāpō Run, you explore the wilderness to find the kākāpo and bring them safely to Sanctuary Island. Avoid the predators that get in your way, hit them or jump over them to keep the kākāpō out of harm’s way! The Kākāpō flightless parrot is an endangered species endemic to New Zealand and they need your help in this classic endless runner style game!
Kākāpō Run is a FREE game where players must take the kākāpō to a safe place on Sanctuary Island. Each level begins with the call of Haast’s Eagle. The carnivore was the main natural predator of the kakapo but is now extinct. The kākāpō freezes in place, a classic behavioral response to avoid being seen by its natural predators, but to survive invasive predators, the kākāpō must start running for its life.
To stay alive in the game, players must run, jump and avoid various obstacles in their path and fend off or avoid predators such as rats and mice, which along with dogs and cats are important predators of the kākāpō and her young. . .

Kākāpō Run is a classic endless runner with an insanely unique, insanely cool feathered hero: the kākāpō. It’s a parrot so big it can’t fly, and its mating call is so deep it rattles the floor! It is the only bird remaining on earth from the entire branch of the tree of life (its distant relative is the dodo).
These “owl parrots” face many threats in the wild…in fact, there are so many that the 200 remaining kākāpō are on their own protected island in New Zealand.
Your task in Kākāpō Run is to keep the kākāpō safe by running across New Zealand to Sanctuary Island in case of danger. Hungry tots are just one of the game’s challenges as you jump, dodge, slide and slide your way through forests, beaches and cities.
Don’t forget: catch feathers and collect extra points! Along the way, learn about the incredible kākāpō and how to bring them back from the brink of extinction.
